LOCK HAVEN – This Friday’s summer concert in Triangle Park features Keystone Cats. The concert starts at 6 p.m. June 13, 2014

The Keystone Cats are a Central Pennsylvania trio whose performances feature tunes from the American Songbook as well as some newly penned classics from the cinema and theatre. Formed in 1999 from elements as diverse as Dixieland, Bluegrass and Rock & Roll, the band has coalesced into a smooth Pop-Jazz ensemble. The members are Williamsport native Dave Miller on piano and vocals, bassist and primary vocalist, Phil Reeder from Lock Haven, and Pete DeSanto of Williamsport on drums. Tunes from Duke Ellington, Hoagy Carmichael, and Harry Warren are some of the Cats mainstays but don’t be surprised if Lennon/ McCartney, Bacharach or Mancini turn up on the set list. Their musical arrangements are clean and witty and the Keystone Cats always provide an entertaining performance. “It’s Jazz that’s not work to listen to.”

The public is invited to attend this free summer concert. Seating will not be provided, therefore, the public is asked to bring a lawn chair.
