Central Mountain Gymnasts Qualify for States

LOCK HAVEN – Four gymnasts from Central Mountain High School who compete for the Lock Haven Area YMCA qualified for the 2018 PA Classic, which serves as the Pennsylvania state high school gymnastics championships. Each gymnast must compete in five PIAA meets and earn minimum scores in their division to qualify.

Bronze division gymnasts must receive a minimum score of 30.00 in the All Around, with Silver gymnasts needing a score 32.0 All Around to qualify.

Freshman Harleigh Andrews qualified for the Bronze Division in the All Around. Freshman Julia Schall qualified for beam and floor in the Silver division, freshman Tatum Malone qualified for bars, beam and floor in the Silver division and Junior Hunter Barger qualified for All Around in the Silver Division.

The meet is held at Moon High School near Pittsburgh on Friday, February 23, 2018 with awards being announced the following day after the conclusion of the team competition. The four gymnasts will be representing Central Mountain High School at the event.
