Bellefonte Tops Lady ‘Cats 43-33

BELLEFONTE – The Lady Wildcat’s quest to end the season on a positive note escaped their grasp as they fell to the Lady Red Raiders, 43-33.

The game started out with great potential for Central Mountain as they had a slight 6-5 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Bellefonte would pick up the pace in the second quarter outscoring the Lady ‘Cats, 13-9 for a 18-15 halftime lead.

The intensity level would pick up once more in the third quarter with both teams scoring 14 points giving the Lady Raiders a 32-29 lead with Central Mountain still in striking distance.

The final period would not go as well for the Lady Wildcats as their offense struggled with the hosts outscoring CM 11-4 to secure the 43-33 win.

Taylor Fletcher broke double digits for Central Mountain for 13 points while Marissa Moyer added 7 points, Madison Courter with 6 and Morgan Wetzel with 5. Avery Eckley also had 2 points for CM.

Central Mountain ends their season with a 0-22 record and will say farewell to seniors: Taylor Fletcher, Hayley Bauer and Talyn Fredericks.
