Early Deficit too Much for Lady Wildcats at Shamokin
SHAMOKIN – Central Mountain experienced yet another loss, this time on the road, fall 63-31 to the Lady Indians.
Shamokin jumped out to a 24-7 lead in the first quarter but Central Mountain kept pace in the second period outscoring the hosts 12-11 but still trailing 35-19 at the half.
Shamokin extended their lead 49-27 after three quarters of plant and capped of the last 8 minutes of play with a 14-4 effort and the 63-31 final.
Marissa Moyer led the Lady’Cats with 9 points followed by Taylor Fletcher with 7 and Morgan Wetzel with 6. Talyn Fredericks added 4 points to the cause with Alyssa Fisher netting 3 and Summer Flanagan had 2 points.
The Lady Wildcats will see their next action on the road at Williamsport on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018.
