Haven Medical Center Makes Its Move

McELHATTAN – When the new year dawns Haven Medical Center will be in its new quarters in a portion of the former Bald Eagle Factory Outlet location in Wayne Township.

The transfer of services from its old location at 208 E. Church St. in Lock Haven began on Thursday and continues through the weekend, Haven Medical Center reopening Tuesday, Jan. 2 as part of the UPMC Outpatient Center at, officially, 1 Outlet Lane, Suite 400, Lock Haven.

UPMC had purchased the former outlet site in June of this year and said at the time the new location would offer expanded services. According to a mailer to Haven Medical Center patients, the outpatient center will offer new specialty services including orthopedics and walk-in hours for lab and radiology services.

Primary care will be offered by Drs. Steve Geise and Dennis Probst and physician assistants John Hanna, Chelsea MacNamara and Colby Welshans; general surgery from Dr. David Rilling; and urology from Dr. Robert Grzonka.

The new phone number as of Jan. 2 will be 570-769-1300. In the interim Haven Medical Center patients may continue to use the 570-748-0590 number.

The Bald Eagle Outlets had begun operations in 1993. In recent years it has housed a handful of commercial and service businesses.
