Lady ‘Cats Outpaced by Selinsgrove, 54-25

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The struggle continues for Central Mountain as they continue to seek their first win of the 2017-18 season. The Lady Wildcats (0-6, 0-2) had been steadily improving but faltered tonight in a 54-25 loss to visiting Selinsgrove (1-6, 0-3).

The Lady Seals jumped out to a commanding 14-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Selinsgrove built up their lead in the second quarter to hold a 29-7 lead at the half.

Central Mountain showed some improvement offensively after the break but still trailed the Lady Seals 19-12 in the third quarter, trailing their guests 42-19 with one period remaining. Then Selinsgrove doubled up on CM in the final period 12-6 for the runaway 54-25 win.

Even though the offense struggled, it was a balanced effort by Central Mountain with Madison Courter led the way with 6 points while Marissa Moyer added 5. Taylor Fletcher, Quinlynn McCann and Hayley Bauer all had 4 points to their credit and Avery Eckley had one 2 pointer on the night.
