Berwick Clobbers Lady ‘Cats 73-15
BERWICK – It was a though opening night for the Lady Wildcat basketball team as they faced the hosts in the Nespoli Tournament at Berwick.
The Lady Wildcats struggled to find their offense in the first half and fell behind the Lady Bulldogs 53-5 by halftime. The struggle continued as Berwick shut out CM 14-0 in the third quarter for a commanding 67-5 lead heading into the final period.
The Lady ‘Cats finally broke double digits in the fourth quarter, outscoring the hosts 10-6 but fell to the hosts, 73-15.
Avery Eckley led the way for CM with 5 points while Madyson Smith, and Madison Courter each had 3 points and Marissa Moyer and Hayley Bauer each scored 2 points.
Central Mountain will play in the consolation final in Berwick tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017
