Rolling Roadblocks Monday on Lock Haven Bypass

LOCK HAVEN – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) advises drivers that rolling roadblocks will be in effect Monday, December 4 on the Lock Haven Bypass (Route 220). The rolling roadblocks will be in effect between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The rolling roadblocks are necessary so that Par Electrical Contractors of Dunmore, Pennsylvania can perform preliminary work for overhead power line installation. PPL Electric Utilities’ project is to bring a new 69 kV transmission line to enhance service reliability to nearby First Quality Tissue. Weather permitting you may notice a helicopter in the vicinity, which is a planned part of the project activity.
The roadblocks will result in stopped and slowed traffic along Route 220 northbound and southbound between exits 109 and 111. Drivers need to remain alert for stopped and slowed traffic conditions and allow for extra travel time.

Flagging crews will be on site to enhance safety while the roadblocks are in effect. Drivers will also be able to find updated information and notification of the delays on roadside message boards.
