Plenty of Regional Gridiron Action This Weekend (Live Updates)

LOCK HAVEN – It’s week two of the PIAA High School Playoffs and there are plenty of District 6 and District 4 teams still in action.

The crowd sourced, live updates offer a convenient way to follow along when you can’t be there in person. All games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

District 6

Leading the way for D6 is the Bellefonte, fresh of a 62-21 elimination win over Clearfield last week. Tonight, the Red Raiders will face Greater Johnstown at Hollidaysburg in the AAAA championship. The Trojans were a 35-13 winner over Bradford last week.

In D6 AAA action tonight, Juniata will face Huntingdon. The Indians were a 41-19 victor over BEA last week while the Bearcats pounded out a 56-9 win over Warren Area.

Tomorrow night, Central will travel to Forset Hills in the other half of the D6 AAA bracket. The Dragons toppled Tyrone last week with the Rangers picking up a 47-7 win over Bedford.

Cambria Heights will take on Ligonier Valley in D6 AA action tonight. The Highlanders advanced with a 48-7 win over Southern Huntingdon last week while the Rams defeated West Shamokin 50-26.

In the other D6 AA bracket, Westmont Hilltop will be at Bishop McCort tomorrow night. The Hilltoppers edged Bellwood-Antis 28-28 last week while the Crushers shutout Mt. Uniion, 42-0.

There will be plenty of action in the D6 A bracket this weekend with Claysburg-Kimmel at Bishop Guifoyle and Purchase Line at Homer Center tonight and Ferndale at Portage Area and Juniata Valley at Northern Cambria tomorrow night.

In the D6 6A sub-regional playoff will see State College traveling to Clarion to face Erie Area tonight. The Little Lions were a 31-10 winner over Central Dauphin last week with the Royals edging Erie McDowell, 35-34.

Hollidaysburg is the default District 6 5A champions as there are only two teams at this level and Central Mountain did not qualify for post season play. The Golden Tigers have a bye this weekend as they wait for their next opponent to be determined.

District 4

This weekend in District 4 there will also be plenty of action on the gridiron.

Wyalusing will travel to Montgomery for the D4 A championship game tonight. The Rams held on for a 22-21 win over Muncy last week with the Red Raiders toppling Bucktail 47-6.

In D4 AA action tonight, Central Columbia travels to Southern Columbia and Line Mountain heads north to Mount Carmel. Last week the Bluejays took care of Towanda, 20-6 while the Tigers pummeled North Penn-Mansfield, 63-26. The Eagles edged Wellsboro 14-13 and the Red Tornadoes doubled up on South Williamsport 28-14 last week.

For the D4 AAA championship it will be a matchup of Loyalsock traveling to Danville. Last week the Lancers toppled Lewisburg, 35-24 with the Ironmen advancing with a 54-24 win over Mifflinburg.

Selinsgrove will travel to Shikellamy tonight for the D4 AAAA championship game. The Seals earned a 14-7 win over Jersey Shore last week while the Braves rolled up a 41-7 win over Athens.

There are no 5A teams in District 4 and the lone 6A team, Williamsport fell 28-27 to Hazleton last week.
