‘Cats Qualify Two for States

Laughner D6 Champ; Green Medals in 8th Place

SIDMAN – Alyssa Luaghner brought home the gold medal from the PIAA District 6 AAA meet held at Forest Hills Middle School today. Laughner  finished first overall in a field of 50 runners with a time of 19:09. Other top 20 finishers for Central Mountain were: (14)Christina Lugg 20:59 and (15) Ellie Nesbitt 21:24 The Lady Wildcats finished third in the team race.

Corbin Green placed 8th overall in the boys’ race in a field of 35 runners in a time of 16:44. The Wildcats placed fourth in the team race. CM’s Owen Rinker made the top 20 in 18:14.

With their efforts today, both Laughner and Green have qualified to participate in the PIAA AAA state championship event slated for Nov. 4, 2017 in Hersey.
