Mifflinburg Edges Central Mountain 3-2

cm-soccerBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcats went toe-to-toe with Mifflinburg on Saturday but came up short, falling 3-2 late in the game.

Mifflinburg built a 2-0 lead early on but Central Mountain battled back to knot the score with a goal from Avery Baker, the assist from Sadie McCaleb.

Mifflinburg would score again shortly after then CM responded in kind, this time a shot from McCaleb assisted by Sloane Tressler but Mifflinburg would prevail for the 3-2 PHAC win.

Central Mountain outpaced Mifflinburg on shots on goal with 19-10, though Mifflinburg had a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.

The loss takes Central Mountain to 3-9 on the season.

Alyssa Dickey recorded 16 saves in the game for Central Mountain.
