Central Mountain Volleyball Rolls over Shamokin 3-0

cm-volleyballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain volleyball picked up a 3-0 win over over visiting Shamokin Thursday night.

The Lady Wildcats dominated in the first game, rolling over the lady Indians, 25-7. Shamokin did rebound somewhat in the next two games but Central Mountain was never threatened going away with a 25-14 in game 2 and 25-15 in the final game.

Offensively, CM was led by Jenni Skow with 4 aces and Maegan Miller and MaKenna Bitner were right behind with 3 aces each. Maddie Bashore piled up 14 assists and Skow led with 10 kills on the night for the Lady ‘Cats, followed by Pqm Gunsallas and Rachel Kibler with 4 kills each.

The Lady Wildcats also observed organ donor awareness night to promote the generosity of donors and how they save lives with sever community members recognized as donors and recipients of organ donations.

On the defensive side, Bitner was a the digs leader with 7 and Sarabeth Bowmaster had 3 blocks on the night.

The win takes Central Mountain to 3-6 on the season and will next see action when they travel to Pends Valley on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017.
