CM Volleyball Falls to Hollidaysburg 3-1

cm-volleyballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain (2-6) battled valiantly but fell to visiting Hollidaysburg 3-1 in girls’ volleyball action Thursday night.

The Lady Wildcats took the Lady Golden Tigers to wire in the first game falling 25-23 and slipped behind in the pace losing game 2, 25-17.

Central Mountain rebounded to edge Hollidaysburg 27-25 in game 3 to keep hopes alive for a full comeback.

Those hopes dwindled in game 4 as the Lady Golden Tigers outpaced the Lady ‘Cats 25-15 for the win.

On the offensive side for CM, Pam Gunsallas, Jenni Skow and Maddie Bashore all had 6 kills with Sarabeth Bowmaster right behind with 5 kills. Maddie Bashore collected 20 assists on the night.

Defensively for the Lady Wildcats, Maegan Miller had 6 digs with Madison Myers and Kelsie Buckwalter recording 4 digs each while MaKenna Bitner and Skow each had 3 digs on the night.

The Lady Wildcats will travel to Kylertown on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 to participate in the West Branch tournament.
