Lady Wildcat Tennis Picks Up 4-1 Win over Mifflin County

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcat tennis team is awn a roll, winning 4 matches in as many day. Their latest victim was Mifflin County who fell 4-1 to the Lady ‘Cats today.

Central Mountain (10-2, 10-1) swept the singles action once more with Jolee McCluskey shutting down Lady Husky, Jamie Mahigel, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1. Then at No. 2, Lady ‘Cat, Kendall McCluskey stumbled in the first set 6-7, rebounded 6-3 in the second set and refused to succumb to Mifflin County’s Anna Ream pulling out a tie-breaking 10-7 win. Katherine Strouse picked up the No. 3 singles win with a 6-1, 6-0 effort over MC’s Amanda Foltz.

Natalie Brown and Jess Piergallini teamed up to defeat Mifflin County’s duo of Abby Yearick and Laura Hurlburt 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. In the No. 2 doubles battle, Lady Husky duo of Mackenze Fultz and Syd Kyle battled back to defeat CM’s Caitlyn Dale and Gianna Renzo, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1.

There will be little rest as next week it is more of the same as Central Mountain is on the road to Jersey Shore on Monday, Danville on Tuesday, at Selinsgrove on Wednesday and then host Hollidaysburg on Thursday.
