Lewisburg Overwhelms Wildcats, 3-0

cm-soccerBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was another tough outing for the Wildcats as they hosted undefeated Lewisburg Thursday night at Malinak Stadium.

The Green Dragons too little time in setting the tone with a handful of corner kicks in and their first goal in just over 5 minutes of game time. Lewisburg would add to more goals in the final five minutes of the contest for the 3-0 win.

Central Mountain did battle intensely on the defensive side of the field all night long but just couldn’t find an answer to Lewisburg’s offensive onslaught.

In all, the Green Dragons amassed 25 shots on goal while CM had only 2 on the night. Lewis burg also had a distinct advantage on corner kicks 13-0.

CM keeper, Nick Andrus picked up 10 saves on the night for the Wildcats.

Next, Central Mountain (3-3-1) will host District 6 rival, Hollidaysburg on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017.
