Central Mountain Picks Up 4-1 Win over Williamsport

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcat tennis program has been waiting since August 28 for a shot at redeeming their only conference loss when Williamsport edged CM 3-2. Today, Central Mountain earned their redemption with a 4-1 win over the Lady Millionaires to move to 7-2, 7-1 in the PHAC.

Jolee McCluskey picked up the first win for Central Mountain at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-0 effort over Williamsport’s Katie Meale.  Then at No. 2 singles, CM’s Kendall McCluskey took care of Billtown’s Mia Shuler, 6-3, 6-2. At No. 3 singles, Lady ‘Cat, Katherine Strouse defeated Lady Millionaire, Madison Marchese, 7-5, 6-3.

In doubles action, Central Mountain’s Natalie Brown and Jessica Piergallini took down Williamsport’s Taylor Shipman and Megan Wike, 6-1, 6-2. Williamsport picked up their lone win when Desriee Aversa and MacKenzie Livermore edged Caitlyn Dale and Gianna Renzo  6-4  5-7  6-2.

It’s a busy week for Central Mountain as they are back in action for their second of four matches this week as they host Jersey Shore, Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017.
