Susan K. Redos – Obituary

Susan K. Redos, 67, of South Renovo, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Bucktail Medical Center where she was a resident in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Previously a resident of Hope Enterprises, where she lived and worked until 2014 after earning a 20-year attendance pin for her dedication to the workshop.

Born June 3, 1950, the daughter of the late John J. and Hellen K. (Chase) Redos, Susan enjoyed a happy and cheerful childhood in South Renovo. She always had a joyful disposition and a witty personality.

Baptized at the St. Joseph Church in Renovo, Susan was a Catholic by faith. She liked arts and crafts, playing bingo, music and sing-a-longs, kittens, and reading books after her wonderful father taught her to read.

Susan was most admired for her remarkable memory, easily recalling the names of all of her relatives, their children, and even their grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, John F. Redos of S. Renovo; three sisters, Marjorie A. Massaro (Vincent) of S. Renovo, Mary L. Gregory of Mogadore, Ohio, and Jeanne M. Cavaliere of New Columbia; one aunt, Lucille Toub of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Redos; and two sisters, Alice Hevner and Elizabeth Stahley.

A funeral service will be at 3PM on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, in Renovo, with Martha Sykes officiating. A Viewing will be from 2-3 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Hyner, PA, on a later date.
