BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — Hundreds of law enforcement representatives from across Pennsylvania gathered Wednesday morning in the Central Mountain High School auditorium to pay respects and say goodbye to one of their own. Services were held for Clinton County Deputy Sheriff Stephen Herrold who passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 20. A phalanx of police officers stood at attention outside the school entrance as family and friends arrived. Herrold had previously been a correctional officer at the Clinton County Correctional Facility. Survivors include his wife, the former Kelly Flynn and their new-born son Brock, born on July 10. His unexpected passing caused immense sorrow among the local law enforcement community and those who knew him.
