Keystone 8-10 All-Stars Advance to Finals with 13-3 Win over Montoursville

MONTOURSVILLE – The Keystone 8-10 All-Stars continued their winning ways with a 13-3 four-inning win over Montoursville. With the win, Keystone advanced to the District 12 finals at Volunteer Stadium on Friday night July 14, 2017 at 8:30 p.m.

Keystone scored in all four innings of work tonight to outpace Montoursville by scoring 3 runs in the first inning, 4 runs in the second and another 4 runs in the third inning and closed out the game with another 2 runs in the fourth inning. Montoursville scored a single run in the first and 2 in the third inning.

Blake Walker led the way with a triple, 2 doubles and a base hit. Darius Shade, Watt Probst and Nolan Cross each had 2 doubles on the night with Griffin Kerstetter, and Hart Fletcher hitting one single each.

On the mound Blake Walker pitched the first two innings striking out 2 and allowing a single hit. Bryce Brungard pitched the next 1 12/3 innings with a pair of strikeouts 2 walks and yielding 2 hits. Darius Shade cam in for the final out to end the game.

Montoursville will drop into the bottom bracket and face Loyalsock on Wednesday, July 12 with the winner advancing to face Keystone Friday night. Loyalsock fell to Keystone this past Saturday 26-1.
