Haven Medical Center Relocating to Former Bald Eagle Outlet Site

McELHATTAN — The UPMC-purchased Bald Eagle Outlet plaza will be the new home for what has been Haven Medical Center operations at 208 E. Church St. in Lock Haven.

Therecord-online has learned that UPMC plans to utilize one of the several buildings at the site off Route 220 in Wayne Township to house some portion of the services presently offered at Haven Medical Center. Previously Haven Medical Center had been looking at relocating to Clinton Plaza off Walnut St. in Lock Haven; plans had been drawn up for a transfer there as the previous Lock Haven Hospital-related owners had been faced with an end-of-the-year deadline to vacate the premises; this after Davis Insurance had announced plans to relocate to its Church Street holdings. Those Haven Medical Center plans were scratched as UPMC earlier this month announced it would be acquiring Lock Haven Hospital.

It is understood the new Bald Eagle Outlet owners are already seeking proposals for renovation to a portion of one of three buildings; present tenants at the McElhattan location have been told they may remain there for 18 months.

The anticipated UPMC purchase of the Bald Eagle Outlets was first reported on therecord-online on Wednesday. Thursday brought a formal confirmation of the purchase out of Williamsport. The UPMC release:

The goal is to involve other community partners to create a new destination for health and wellness services at the UPMC Susquehanna McElhattan location.
