Peter Knox Ebeling, age 63, died March 23, 2014 at his residence in Mill Hall, PA. He was born in Mt. Vernon, NY and lived in Woolrich, PA during his youth. He was the son of Henry William Ebeling who preceded him in death in 2008, and Ella Blenis Ebeling who survives and resides at Foxdale Village, State College, PA.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy Dotterer Ebeling and sons Brian of Mill Hall and Carl of State College. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Deb) Ebeling, Jr. of Annisquam, Mass.

Pete was a 1968 graduate of Lock Haven High School and a 1972 graduate of Syracuse University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration

After graduating from Syracuse he was employed by Piper Aircraft Corporation as traffic manager. In 1986, he began work at Cerro Metals in Bellefonte, PA as purchaser of raw materials and continued in that position for 22 years until the plant ceased operation. He was currently employed part-time at Wegman’s in State College, PA where he worked in the seafood department. There he often demonstrated cooking techniques and enjoyed interaction with customers.

Pete enjoyed skiing and tennis. He was ranked as the number one tennis player during his senior year of high school. Later he played golf and was a member of Clinton Country Club for many years.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11AM at Great Island Presbyterian Church, 12 West Water Street, Lock Haven, with Pastor Benjamin Lins officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church from 10AM until the time of the service.

His family suggests memorial donations be made to the Clinton County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 652, Lock Haven, Pa 17745 or Great Island Presbyterian Church, P. O Box 434, Lock Haven, PA.
