A Little Off the Side, Please: Tree Trimming Taking Place in Mill Hall, Western Clinton County

Tree trimming Mill Hall

MILL HALL — Remember a year or so ago when Lock Haven residents were not happy with tree trimming along E. Church St and other sections of state highways through the city? Now it is Mill Hall’s turn according to an announcement today from PennDOT: Crews from Sidelines Tree Service of Oakdale, PA began tree trimming work Wednesday in Clinton County. This work is expected to continue through June and involves Route 64 and Route 144. A PennDOT release said the tree trimming will provide day-lighting along these roads and remove potentially hazardous trees.

Route 64 (Water Street) in Mill Hall, near the intersection with Route 150, will see tree trimming activity at least through Friday and possibly into next week.

Once the Route 64 work is complete, crews will move to Route 144 and perform tree trimming along a 12-15 mile stretch from Drurys Run to Cross Forks. Because of the length of this location, crews may be working on this section of Route 144 through the month of June.

Residents are advised that crew members may visit specific properties to obtain permission to work on or near the property. Residents may request to see proper identification when crew members stop at their property and ID will be provided.

Traffic control will feature alternating traffic patterns controlled by flaggers in the roadway. Drivers should anticipate short travel delays and be alert for roadway flaggers. All work is weather dependent.
