Missing Woman Case: Heaton Waives Hearing

Rodney HeatonLOCK HAVEN – Rodney Lee Heaton, 53, has waived his case into Clinton County Court. Heaton is the Lock Haven man charged in relation to the “suspicious” death of a Lock Haven woman.

Heaton was scheduled for his preliminary hearing before District Judge Frank Mills on Tuesday of this week, but waived the charges against him into court. He is charged with felony forgery, identification theft, access device fraud and related theft offenses. He was returned to the Centre County Correctional Facility in default of $100,000 bail.

Heaton is facing the multiple counts in relation to the “suspicious” death of Teresa Hannah Hill, 59. He is accused by Lock Haven police of using bank and Access cards of Hill, the woman whose decomposed body was found wrapped in carpeting at her Corning St. residence on Dec. 22 of last year. City police alleged Heaton had been using her identity since she died in July 2015.

Meanwhile the investigation into her passing continues; the manner and cause of her death still to be determined according to Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse.
