Cleo Batschelet Bartoletti – Obituary

ObitArtPEACHTREE, GA – Cleo Batschelet Bartoletti, 100, Mother, Artist, and Businesswoman, of Peachtree City, GA died Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

She was born in Galeton, PA on December 19, 1916. She was a member of the Woman’s Club of Renovo, Catholic Daughters of America and the Lock Haven Arts Council where she served as an officer and numerous other clubs where she was active well into her 90’s.

Her husband Harry S. Batschelet of 23 years and a second husband Joseph Bartoletti of 25 years preceded Cleo in death. Two brothers, William and Jack Culver also a sister Eleanor McDonald, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter Susan (Bill) Dunn of Peachtree City, GA a son Harry (Luanne) Batschelet of Marietta, NY. 5 grandsons, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews a stepson also a stepdaughter and a lifelong friend Rosemary Bouse. After Harry died in 1961the Trust Company wanted Cleo to shut down the heating company but she refused. She and Rosemary ran the company for 9 years finally closing it in May of 1970 due to the deteriorating condition of the plant.

The service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner with the Rev. Donald Dusza officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service.
