RENOVO – Mary Jean (Miller) Linberg, 89, of Westport, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Bucktail Medical Center. She was the wife of the late William R. Linberg who died on June 8, 2007.

Born February 17, 1927 in Philipsburg, Mary was the daughter of the late Leland S. and Elsa M. (Hooper) Miller. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Renovo.

Mary worked as a registered nurse for 42 years until her retirement. She began nursing in Philipsburg and continued when she moved to Renovo, working at the old and new Bucktail Medical Center and as a Visiting Community Nurse.

After retirement, Mary delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband. She loved to knit, crochet, sew, garden, go for rides to view the scenery, and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters and son, Judy (Jerry) Kelley of Renovo, Leland (Connie) Linberg of Hyner, and Janet (Alexander) Dodson of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Kathy, Karen, Michael, Kimberly, Luke, Matthew, and Patrick; nine great grandchildren, Gage, Alli, Emily, James, Kara, Walker, Rachel, Luke Jr., and Josh; one brother, Clyde (Kathy) Miller of Arizona; one sister, Rebecca Nordberg of State College; and her best buddy Tony the cat.  In addition to her beloved husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Miller.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 5th St., Renovo. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Maxwell Funeral Home. Friends and family will be received one-hour prior to the service. Martha Sykes will be officiating.
Burial will directly follow the service at Allport Cemetery, in Clearfield County.
