Loganton Man Arrested in Baseball Bat Assault on Vehicle

psp-logoLAMAR TOWNSHIP — State police report a Loganton man was arrested and jailed, charged with simple assault and related offenses in connection with a Saturday night incident on the Narrows Road in Logan Township.

The state police report alleges that Logan Michael Embick, 31, of Loganton, was standing on the roadway in the 9700 block of the Narrows Road and stopped a vehicle operated by Jeremy Reinhart of Loganton. The investigating officer charged that Embick smashed the driver’s side window with a baseball bat, cutting Reinhart. The police report said glass shards also struck a one-year-old in the vehicle and five other occupants were endangered by flying glass. A search relating to the Embick arrest found the accused in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Embick was remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility, charged in district court with simple assault, criminal mischief, marijuana and paraphernalia possession and six counts of recklessly endangering another person.
