Nancy L. Gavlock – Obituary

EMPORIUM – Nancy L. Gavlock, 74, of 112 W 7th St., Emporium, PA died at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys on Thursday (January 19, 2017) afternoon.

She was born April 25, 1942 in Renovo, PA a daughter of the late Maynard and Mary Ellen Miller Stradley.

On June 29, 1963 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Renovo she married Robert Gavlock, who survives.

Mrs. Gavlock graduated from Renovo High School in the class of 1960. She retired from Olivett’s Shurfine where she was a baker for many years. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by husband Robert Gavlock, two daughters, Patty (Kevin) Wendel, St. Marys and Mary (Matt) Streich, Emporium; one son, Chris (Wendy) Gavlock, Bellefonte, PA; four grandchildren: Erin, Joelle, Alex & Nicholas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Mary Ellen Miller Stradley and one son, Robert Gavlock, Jr. in 1979.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
