HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives Democratic Caucus has re-elected state Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, as its whip, the second in command within the caucus, for the 2017-18 legislative session.

The caucus vote came on Tuesday, a week after Hanna won a record 14th term representing the 76th district after his re-election Nov. 8.

He later posted a social media message of thanks:
“I am truly humbled to represent my constituents in the 76th Legislative District for another term as the House Democratic Whip. I cannot thank you enough for your never-ending support and encouragement. All of the texts, emails and social media messages mean so much to me. I am proud to be your vote in Harrisburg and will continue to ensure your concerns are taken into consideration throughout the entire legislative process. Thank you!”

Hanna, a graduate of Lock Haven High School and Lock Haven University, earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He also serves on the board of governors for the 14-school State System of Higher Education.
