Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Chapman Township Saturday

FARWELL — A Delaware County man lost his life when his motorcycle collided with a deer on the Renovo Road Saturday evening.

State police identified the victim as Michael Brandon, 71, from Milmont Park. Their report said Brandon was operating a motorcycle in a westerly direction on the Renovo Road at its intersection with Farwell Avenue. A deer crossed the highway and the motorcycle struck the deer and ended up on the roadway with Brandon underneath. Police said emergency medical personnel transported the operator but he was pronounced dead at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Time of the accident was 6:25 p.m. Saturday. Police said the operator was wearing a helmet.
