Leonard Garla Young, III, 19, of 34 Oak Ridge Ln., Mill Hall, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

Lenny was born in Lock Haven on September 18, 1996, the son of Leonard G. (Kathy L.) Young, Jr. of Mill Hall and Ginger L. Peters Franklin of Flemington.

He was a 2014 graduate of Central Mountain High School and was employed at R.C. Bowman, Inc. of Mill Hall.

He was a member of the Flemington First Church of Christ.

Lenny’s passion was the outdoors. He enjoyed going to his Pap’s camp and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved taking his Ford diesel truck mudding with his friends. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Rifle League for the Liberty Twp. Sportsman’s Club. He was also an accomplished member of the Southern Clinton County Youth Hunter Education Challenge for many years, placing 1st in the state once, 2nd twice, and 3rd in the nation one year.

He was a fun loving person who would help anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, Lenny is survived by his paternal grandparents, Margaret and Leonard Young, Sr. of Lock Haven; a maternal grandfather, Franklin Peters, Sr. of Berwick; a brother, Jordan Franklin of Pittsburgh; a step-brother, Matthew Scott Allen of Lock Haven; a step-sister, Heather Ann Allen of Beech Creek; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gladys Peters.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall, Pa 17751 with Rev. Mark Riley officiating.

Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday from 2p.m. until the time of the service.

Private burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Southern Clinton County YHEC or Flemington First Church of Christ.
