Keystone 10-11s Romp in Opener
LOYALSOCK — The Keystone 10-11 team opened defense of its District 12 title with a dominating 18-1 4-inning win over home-standing Loyalsock Tuesday evening.
Off to a 1-0 start in postseason play, Keystone joins its Major counterparts (4-0) and Keystone’s 9-10 squad (3-0) for an overall mark of 8-0 in the playoffs.
The Keystone 10-11s pounded out 13 hits, including a homerun from Matt Conklin to romp to the win. Conklin finished 2-for-2 in the four inning game. Chase Brush added two singles and Blaze King a single and a double. In all Keystone pounded out 13 hits.
Four Keystone pitchers combined on a 2-hitter: Ashton Probst, Owen Gill, Crusen Stover and Conklin.
With the win Keystone moves into the winner’s bracket semifinal Thursday at 6 p.m., the opponent Williamsport Area, the game site the Old Lycoming Little League Field. The District 12 title game is scheduled for Volunteer Stadium in South Williamsport Friday, July 15 at 6 p.m.
