WILLIAMSPORT – Mike Kramer, 24 year head coach between Bald Eagle–Nittany and Central Mountain High School Baseball, received the 2016 Steve Poust Sportsmanship Award at the PIAA Lycoming County chapter of umpires’ banquet.

Steve Poust umpired for more than 25 years and passed away in 2012 from brain cancer. This award was created in his memory and Coach Kramer is the 4th recipient. Frank Gardner, president of the chapter, and 31 years as an umpire, presented Coach Kramer with the award.

Mr. Gardner said he has never heard Coach Kramer say anything negative to his players, coaches, parents, fans, or officials. He epitomizes everything a coach should be. Coach Kramer was humbled by the award and thanked the chapter and the officials for all they do for the game of baseball.
