Traffic Stops Next Week on Mill Hall Route 220 Bridge

penndot-alertLOCK HAVEN – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently resumed bridge work a Route 220 project near Mill Hall. Crews have been working to install a new deck and parapets on the bridge over Route 220 for the northbound on-ramp at the Mill Hall interchange. PennDOT has issued an update on the project for next week:

  • A 10-foot width restriction will be set in place on Route 2015 (Mill Hall interchange of Route 220) to continue the bridge work. Drivers can expect traffic stops on Route 2015 during daylight hours on Monday and Tuesday, April 4 and 5 when traffic control is implemented. 

Work includes installation of install a new deck and parapets, expansion dam repair/replacement, and roadway paving. PennDOT expects this work to be complete by late July.

The bridge work is part of PennDOT’s mainline project on Route 220, which wrapped up in fall of 2015. Mainline work addressed improvements to 7.5 miles of roadway to enhance the ride quality of the roadway surface and extend the useful life of the pavement. The work was made possible by Act 89.

HRI, Inc. of State College has been the contractor on this $17.3 million project.
