District Gymnasts Medal at State Competition

MOON TOWNSHIP – Gymnasts from Bucktail Area High School and Central Mountain High School competed well over the weekend at the PA Classic, the Pennsylvania High School Gymnastics Championships at Moon High School near Pittsburgh.

From Bucktail High School, junior Hannah Bowes came up big with a 2nd on vault (9.1) and beam (8.575), 9th on bars (7.925) and 10th in the all around (32.950) while competing in the Silver Division.

From Central Mountain, freshman Hunter Barger competed in the Bronze Division and placed 10th on bars (7.225), 3rd on floor (8.125) and 5th in the all around (30.575). Freshman Keirstan Strope competed in the silver division placing 12th on floor with a (8.325). Juniors Tori May and Courtney Brittan also competed in the all around in the Silver division, and senior Mary Ballat competed in the all around in the Gold Division.
