James R. McLean
James R. McLean, 77, of Craigs Fork Lane, Lock Haven passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born on May 14, 1938 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late William J. and Dorothy E. Gordon McLean.

After graduating from Lock Haven High School in 1958, James served in the United States Navy.

He was married to Frances A. McLean who preceded him in death in 1991.

James was employed by Conrail as a Track Foreman until his retirement in 2000.

He was a member of the Sons of Italy, 40 & 8, and the American Legion.

James enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and singing, and was an avid Penn State fan.

He competed in numerous horseshoe competitions, winning tournaments even this year.

On Wednesday nights James could be found playing poker with his buddies.

Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Forrest James and Amy C. McLean of Linden; a daughter, Kelly M. McLean Heaton of Lititz; a brother, William “Bump” McLean of Lizardville; four grandchildren: James J. McLean, Britney L. McLean, Thayer K. Heaton, and Kyra N. Heaton; and his beloved dog, Jimmy.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy M. Herr.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 6 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:30 P.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Clinton County S.P.C.A. or a charity of your choice.
