CM 1-1 at Commissioner’s Cup

cm-soccerWOODWARD TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain opened their 2015 season with an aggressive effort in besting Huntingdon 4-3 in first round action of the annual Commissioner’s Cup tournament.

The Bearcats scored first on a quick goal after CM had dominated most of the early going with several shots on goal before the Huntingdon initial score. Central Mountain answered back in short order to knot the core 1-1 at the break.

The Wildcats continued to dominate in time of possession and kept the Bearcat defense busy by out pacing Huntingdon 3-2 in the second period/

Daniel Brinker took charge recording a Hat Trick for Central Mountain with a single goal in the first period, then tallied two more in the second. Micah Brinker also had a goal for the Wildcats in the second period.Kevin Hook earned one assist in the game.

The Wildcats led in every stat for the game leading with shots on goal 14-7, and 4-2 on corner kicks over the Bearcats.

First-year goal keeper, Brody Baker recording 5 saves.

Game 2

The Wildcats faced Bloomsburg in the second round for another closely fought contest. Bloomsburg edged the hosts 4-3.

Socring for the Wildcats were: Kline Williams, Daniel Brinker and Micah Brinker with one goal each.
