Carol Ann Pearsall – Obituary

Carol Ann Pearsall, 62, of 113 N. Washington St., Lock Haven, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Carol was born in Lock Haven on January 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Robert McDermit and Janet Keister.

She was a 1970 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

On November 5, 1972 in Lock Haven, Carol married Wayne D. Pearsall, who survives.

Carol was employed as a Social Services Coordinator for STEP, Inc. from 1984 to 2003. She also worked as a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Highland Cemetery Association as a Records Custodian.

Carol enjoyed reminiscing with Facebook friends on the “Growing up in Lock Haven” page and researching local history. She also liked tending to her flower gardens and had won the “Garden of the Month” award multiple times. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with children, especially during Halloween.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie McLaughlin of Lock Haven; two sons, Cameron Lee (Denae) Pearsall of Lock Haven and Clinton Andrew (Jennifer) Pearsall of Castanea; a brother, George McDermit of Florida; two step-brothers, Jeff Fritts of Lock Haven and Eddie McDermit of Erie; and four grandchildren, Kaylee Ann Pearsall, Devin Pettingill, Erin Marie McLaughlin and Malerie Mosier.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Highland Cemetery Association.
