You Rock Dan Edder …
Mary Gregory of Ohio wrote this week to The Record about a special person who deserves a special thank you. She tells us: A special someone cleaned and power washed the majority of older tombstones at the Bitumen Grotto Cemetery. They look fantastic! The old marble sparkles just like a new! Take a ride up and see! That special someone is Dan Edder from Erie, PA. Dan is the son of Sylvia Gregory Edder-Thompson. Thank you Dan!
Need a fund raiser? Sell food at the Budstock Renovo Jam …
More than dozen musicians are slated to appear at the upcoming Budstock Renovo Jam on Saturday, Aug. 29. And hopefully there will be a really good turnout of area people to listen and enjoy the various musical groups that will be entertaining beginning at 11 in the morning and going until evening or later. But the event is in need of a group or organization that is willing to sell food. This will be a good opportunity for organizations to earn funds. There is no fee – the sellers keep all their money. Music Fest honors 50th anniversary of local band …
The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park committee is sponsoring the music fest event on August 29 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bud & The Dynamics. The event includes a large slate of musicians to appear and perform. The music fest is free admission to all, including vendors. While some food sales are expected, guests can bring their own food and drink. Weather permitting; it should be a great time for a picnic and a day of good music. Bring your own chairs or blanket for on the ground.
Dice Run cancelled …
I see in a post from Rich Wykoff that the Dice Run has been postponed because of unanticipated challenges, one of them being the lack of availability of food vendors. The committee has decided to reset the plans and schedule the event for spring.
I hate passwords …
Am I the only person in the world who runs into difficulty with passwords? I’ve been trying to check something on Face Book this week but without success because every password I’ve tried is incorrect. I have two telephone number books and each has a different password. Worse yet, neither one works. That means, or at least I think it means, that I added another password because the first two didn’t work. Trouble is I don’t think I recorded the latest one anywhere. And I’m sure that when I set it I thought I would never forget it. But I did. As I said, I hate passwords.
