American Legion Offers Christmas Greetings

lh-legionLOCK HAVEN – Members of the Department of Pennsylvania American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary family had a week of touring throughout Pennsylvania, visiting 15 Veterans Homes and hospitals and giving Christmas greetings, Christmas cards and monetary gifts to 3600 veterans. Pictured are some who helped give Christmas greetings, singing and “Thanking Veterans for serving our country!” at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and the Altoona Veterans Medical Center. The Lock Haven American Legion Post 131 gave a $2000 donation to Hollidaysburg Veterans Home (HVH). ALA Unit # 131 gave a $200 donation towards the veterans Christmas party and gifts for HVH residents. There are currently 483 residents at HVH. There is room for more Veterans if they need a place to go!
