LOCK HAVEN – On Monday December 2nd, the weather was cold and some of the ground was covered with snow, but it did not stop the ten Greek organizations (over 100 students) that met to help clean up the grounds of Lock Haven University’s campus.  “The LHU grounds crew and maintenance does a great job but we wanted to give them a helping hand, so all of us came together to help out before the end of the semester,” said Austin MacKay(AXP), the Inter-fraternity Council Spring-Fall 2014 President.

Members of Phi Mu Delta, Alpha Sigma Phi, Alpha Sigma Tau, Zeta Tau Alpha, Zeta Phi Beta, Alpha Chi Rho, Sigma Kappa, Kappa Delta Rho, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Alpha Kappa Psi were in attendance.  The Greek organizations on campus consist of over 400 students in the honorary, social and academic organizations.  “I am very proud of all they do for the campus and the community.  They are always eager to help out and do something for others.  It is difficult to break the stereotypes, but over time and with this good group of students, they will get the recognition they deserve”, stated Wendy Walsh, Coordinator of Student Life for Greek Affairs and Orientation Programs.  Leanna Walker (ZTA), President of PanHellenic Council fall 2013 said, “The all-Greek clean up not only let me spend time with my ZTA sisters but we also helped keep the campus beautiful.”
