This Too Shall Pass

LOCK HAVEN – Let’s get ready to say goodbye to February. It will go down as one of the several coldest on record. How cold? How about eights day when the overnight low was 0 or below? Last week was particularly not nice, the overnight lows recorded at -2, -5, +6, 0, 0, -4 and 0. As a point of reference the average high for February is 39 degrees, the low 20. And while the temperature won’t be getting above freezing for the rest of this week, when March kicks in on Sunday we should see a run of high temperatures in the 30s. That’s the Tidlow Dam off Grant Street in Lock Haven holding up as best it can this winter.
