CASTANEA — State police Wednesday released two surveillance camera photos as their investigation into a Monday night armed robbery continues.

The most recent robbery occurred Monday night about 10:30 at the Fuel On convenience store on Hanna Street in Castanea Township.

State police are investigating and working with other area police departments to try to determine if there is a connection with a total of five such late night robberies at businesses in Lock Haven, Woodward Township, Bald Eagle Township and now Castanea.

The robber is described as a white male, 5-8, with medium build. He was reported wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a bandanna over his face, and purple surgical gloves.

A store employee said the intruder appeared to be armed with a sawed-off shotgun and entered the store and demanded money from the female attendant; he escaped with an undetermined amount of money.
