LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven University Foundation has proposed purchase and demolition of two W. Church St. structures to make way for a parking lot to serve the school’s East Campus. The plans were revealed at a city council meeting Monday night through a letter from Foundation solicitor Larry Coploff. His letter said the foundation is pursuing a sales agreement with the owners of houses at 338 and 344 W. Church St. The site is zoned “residential medium density” and the foundation is seeking a change to “public institutional” to match the East Campus holdings across the street. The request was referred to the city planning commission for review. Record photo – Jeannine Lipez
