Ruth M. Christopher – Obituary
Born on February 27, 1930 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Edward and Dorothy Mae Burns Motter.
On April 25, 1955 she married the love of her life, Anthony G. Christopher who survives at home.
For many years Ruth was employed by Piper Aircraft. She also worked for AAA Central Penn in Dunnstown and Cox Cable, currently Comcast, in Lock Haven.
Ruth was a member for the East Main Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
She bowled for the Clinton Lanes Bowling League and also enjoyed playing tennis.
In addition to her husband, Anthony, she is survived by two daughters: Karen (Will) Hess of Yardley and Diann (Walt) Hummel of Fairfield; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Courtney Hess of Yardley and Lauren, Brittany, and Brandon Hummel of Fairfield; a sister, Ellen (T.E. “Bud”) Hickoff of Laguna Nigel, CA; a brother-in-law, Richard Rupert of Lock Haven; and a niece, Sandy Hickoff of Irvin, CA.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rupert.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven.
