RENOVO – Elizabeth “Betty” Simon, 80, 510 Farwell Ave., Renovo, PA died October 16, 2014 at her home. She was born May 12, 1934 in Renovo, PA the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary Paloskey Kisko. On June 26, 1954 in St. Joseph’s Catholic, Renovo she married George B. Simon who survives at home. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Betty was a 1952 graduate of the Renovo High School and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed being around her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty enjoyed crafts, sewing, and having Sunday dinners with her family. She had worked at Sylvania Electric in Emporium, PA for years.

Betty is survived by two sons: George Michael (Michele) Simon and Timothy Eugene Simon both of Renovo, PA; three daughters: Mary Kathryn (Robert) Spangler, Williamsport, PA; Deborah Ann (Terry) Pedokus, and Ann Elizabeth (Thomas) Tarantella both of Renovo, PA. Ten Grandchildren: Robert L. (Katie) Spangler, Jr., Corey M. (Vanessa) Simon, Francis W. DeMarte, III, Thomas E. (Amanda) Tarantella, Jr., Christopher L. (Katherine) Spangler, Patrick G. (Connie) Tarantella, Joseph J. Simon, Andrea R. Tarantella, Brad L. Pedokus and Brandy L. Pedokus. Thirteen Great-Grandchildren: Giada Elizabeth DeMarte, Rossella Mae Tarantella, Emiliana Jayne Demarte, Camron Robert Spangler, Patrick Giovanni Tarantella, Jr., Thomas Edward Tarantella, III, Kylie Elizabeth Simon, Luca Francis DeMarte, Angelo Reed Tarantella, Ellarie Michele Simon, Jase Christopher Spangler, Audrina Josephine Tarantella and Sienna Ardis Spangler.

One brother William Kisko, Smethport, PA; one sister Frances Kisko Smitchko, Clarence, PA. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph (Sonny) Kisko and Eugene (Chip) Kisko and one sister Bertha Kisko Brown.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Renovo, PA. Arrangements entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, PA  17751. Online condolences at www.wetzlerfuneralhome.org.
