LOCK HAVEN – The first session for the 2014-2015 Leadership Clinton County program was held on October 8th at the Annie Halenbake Ross Library. Participants were introduced to self reflection for better leadership from Jennifer Lake with Lake Coaching. Shannon Tyson, Workforce Development Director at Lock Haven University, worked with the class on how to effectively manage a meeting and understanding different board responsibilities. Dr. Matthew Girton, Professor of Communication at Lock Haven University, discussed use of parliamentary procedures in a meeting. And finally, participants learned and practiced proper techniques of public speaking from Shelley Moore, Assistant Director of Career Services at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
