FARWELL—The Bucktail High School gymnasium underwent a significant fix-up/spruce-up over the last summer and the school’s booster clubs want to provide it with special new memorial chairs.

The two clubs recently announced the chair project, what the boys and girls booster clubs call “a way to pay tribute to a friend or family member.”

For athletic events starting this winter participating teams will be moved to the “stage” side of the gymnasium, no longer seated on the first row of the stands. As a result the teams will need to be seated on chairs. The two clubs have ordered specially designed red, white and black chairs with the name “Bucktail” on the back and a picture of a buck on the seat.

These chairs will be made available to purchase to honor or remember a friend or family member, a civic or fraternal organization to pay tribute to its members, or just to say thank you to Bucktail. An engraved memorial plaque will be installed on the rear of the chair.

The clubs have placed an order for 50 chairs. These chairs and memorial plaque will be available to purchase for $100.00 per chair. Also to hold and protect the chairs, a rack was purchased. The chair rack will also be available for a memorial plaque for $100.00.

Order forms will be available in the Record or contact Jim Morgan at 570 923 2155 or Butch Knauff or 570 923 1320.

A booster club official said chairs will be available first-come, first-served, “So don’t be let out, place your order soon so you will be able to soon see them.”
