Bucks Split with St. John Neumann

bucks-baseballWILLIAMSPORT – Bucktail traveled down river to face the Golden Knights for a high school double header of sorts. Their earlier game was suspended due to rain in the third inning and was continued from that point trailing 4-1.

St. John Neumann tacked on three runs in the fourth inning then exploded for ten more in the  sixth. Bucktail answered back with three runs of their own though it wasn’t enough to finish out the game succumbing to the ten-run rule.

In the second game the Bucks bounced back outscoring Neumann 4-2 on eight hits playing error free defense. Chuck Probst seven strikeouts in four innings with Tony Saltsman getting the save. Saltsman also went 3-3 in the batter’s box with two doubles and a single driving in two runs with the effort.
