Wildcats Getting Busy, Getting Wins
LEWISTOWN — Towering right-hander Caleb Seyler spread out nine hits in a route-going 6-1 Central Mountain win at Mifflin County High School on Wednesday.
The Wildcats never trailed and benefitted from seven Husky errors to win their third game in a row, their youthful pitching staff giving up just one run over three recent wins over Williamsport, Jersey Shore and Mifflin County; junior Zach Skrtich, sophomore Toner Corl and the junior Seyler picking up the three victories in complete-game performances. .
Against Mifflin County Central Mountain had seven hits and committed just one error in winning its third straight and moving to 5-2 on the season.
Barring further weather complications, coach Mike Kramer’s team is going to be busy: a make-up at home with Punxsutawney on Thursday and an 11 a.m. home Saturday game with Hollidaysburg, part of a 6-game home stand.
Next week’s schedule will see all the games at Mill Hall Community Park, including next Tuesday with Bellefonte, a make-up with Loyalsock on Thursday and a Friday game with Penns Valley.
