Mill Hall Man Arrested Following Police Pursuit

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — State police have filed multiple charges against a Mill Hall man after he attempted to elude police following a traffic stop early Tuesday. Police did not identify the man, other than to say he is 35-years-old and a Mill Hall resident.

The incident occurred at 1:30 Tuesday morning, beginning in the 200 block of Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township. Trooper Jonathan Rishell reported a 1996 green Subaru Outback was observed committing multiple traffic violations. He said the vehicle was stopped but the operator fled the scene and a pursuit ensued.

The chase continued on to Route 220 south and the vehicle exited at the Salona exit. The police report said that at the intersection of the off-ramp to Route 477 a “precision immobilization technique” maneuver was deployed, ending the pursuit, the driver taken into custody without incident.

Police said he has been charged with fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence and multiple traffic offenses.
